Willow Tree Sanctuary Hand-Painted Figure

A new addition to the Signature collection, which was first launched in 2015 to mark the 15th anniversary of Willow Tree, the Sanctuary figure has a beautiful gesture and sentiment determined by the giver and receiver.

The word "sanctuary" illustrates a safe, warm space that mother and baby create by being together, quiet and peaceful. The baby feels safe and happy, and the mother is too. This piece can also be a guardian angel, suggesting that your baby is being watched over, protected, and cradled in a loving embrace. The item is made of resin and hand-painted with lead-free paint. It is supplied in a special, gold-highlighted, branded gift box with a corresponding gift tag that bears the sentiment "a warm safe surround of love." This product is not a toy or children's product; it is intended for adults only.

The Sanctuary figure is a 6.5-inch hand-painted resin standing figure in a cream dress, holding an infant wrapped in a cream blanket. The figure has gold-leaf dots circling the hair around her head and face, creating a halo-like effect.

Susan Lordi, the artist, hand-carves the original of each Willow Tree piece from her studio in Kansas City, Missouri. This particular piece is cast from Susan's original carving and painted by hand.
